Vets

Some Sacramento Area Veterinarians

UCD School of Veterinary Medicine
One Shields Ave.
Davis, CA  95616-8734

**Note, when contacting UCD- contact the Companion Avian/Pet Exotics service (CAPE) at UCD to be assigned to a veterinarian.  (530) 752-1393, then press 3, then press 3 again to reach the correct receptionists.  Tell them what your animal is sick and you would like to get an appointment if you have no preference of who you see. You can also request a new-pet or well-pet checkup with Dr. Koski if you so desire. If there is some issue of pain that needs to be controlled, Dr. Koski can often help with that, via acupuncture and acupressure rather than meds that can be harmful to the liver and kidneys.

If you are out of the Sacramento area and looking for a veterinarian, possible sources of information are local pet shops that sell reptiles, or a zoo or reptile rescue group in your area. Call them and ask who treats their reptiles, or ask them for a recommendation.
